FRIARS BAY DEVELOPMENT
Welshpool Landing is operated by the Friars Bay Development Association Inc.
This non-profit volunteer group was formed in 2011, and took over Welshpool Wharf from the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Great assistance has come from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, the Province of New Brunswick, and many individuals and organizations.
Our aim is “to work for the betterment of Friars Bay, Welshpool and Campobello Island, in the County of Charlotte and Province of New Brunswick together with Passamaquoddy Bay, paying particular attention to sustainable development and the betterment of the natural environment for Friars Bay and Welshpool, and to art and heritage."
