Welshpool Landing

Days of operation: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays during summer.

 

What passengers need:  A Canadian or American passport or equivalent. Please reserve by 24 hours in advance, giving passport number and expiry date.

 

Starting from Eastport:  

- Leave wharf 8 a.m. EDT (9:00 ADT)

- Arrive Welshpool Landing, Campobello 8:15 EDT (9:15 ADT)   

- Leave Welshpool Landing 12:00 EDT (1:00 p.m. ADT)

- Arrive at Eastport in 15 minutes.

 

Starting from Welshpool Landing on Campobello:

- Leave Welshpool 9:30 a.m. ADT (8:30 EDT)

- Arrive Eastport 9:45 ADT (8:45 EDT)

- Leave Eastport 11:30 ADT (10:30 EDT)

- Arrive at Welshpool Landing in 15 minutes.

Fees: ~ $35 U.S. for round-trip boat crossings. Group rates may be discussed. (Note: on Campobello, additional $10 Canadian for transport – see below.)

 

Customs offices: At Welshpool Landing on the Canadian side, a van operated by Campobello Sightseeing takes passengers to the Canada Border Services Agency’s station, then to the nearby Roosevelt Park for a visit and later pickup. (Another option is to take a Campobello Island tour.) At Eastport, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection office is very close to the landing point.
